So, today we’re going to talk about the inversion sprain. The inversion sprain is when the ankle turns inward. And the sprain is labeled which way the heel goes so when it goes inward it’s called an inversion sprain, that’s when you roll your ankle. And that’s going to affect the talofibular ligaments, we will tend to brace that we may use Kinesio tape probably more more likely athletic tape and then Kinesio tape can be used for proprioceptive abilities will will will support that I sit rested elevated to help with that issue there. So and then the version sprain is basically the opposite way. And again, as you can see here, the diversion sprain would damage the deltoid ligament in here and potentially, if that foot jam is far enough that way may cause a fracture at the base of the fibula. And again that’s where we have extra here to take a look at that.
After healing occurs over time, you may need an orthotic depending on what your your problems are your biomechanics mechanical problems and we may utilize that.
